Addressing an election rally at Kalol town in pollbound Gujarat, he said he was not surprised that the Congress leaders were saying bad things about him. “But I am amazed that even after saying so many bad things, neither the P PM Narendra Modi addresses a public meeting for the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections, in Kalol on Thursday. Digi Yatra was conceived to achieve contactless, seamless processing of passengers at airports based on Facial Recognition Technology (FRT). Officials said that the airport will use facial recognition software termed as "Digi Yatra" for entry.Digi Yatra in the first phase, will be launched at seven airports. Speaking about the Digi Yatra project conceived by Digi Yatra Foundation under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, he said that the project envisages a traveller pass through various checkpoints at the airports through a paperless and contactless processing using facial features to establish her identity which could be linked to the boarding pass. To use this facility, onetime registration on Digi Yatra app is required using Aadhaar-based validation and a self-image capture. About the privacy features of the project, the minister said that keeping in mind privacy, there is no central storage of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). He also said that as the mother of democracy, India’s G-20 presidency would be consultative, collaborative, and decisive. AHMEDABAD, 1 DECEMBER Indo-US drills: India rejects China’s dissent NEW DELHI, 1 DECEMBER India today rejected the objection raised by China over the ongoing joint Indo-US military exercises being held in Uttarakhand near the Line of Actual Control (LAC). “India will conduct such exercises with whoever it chooses and it does not give a veto to a third country for holding such exercises,” Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian had stated yesterday that the joint military exercises by India and the US violated the spirit of relevant agreements signed by China and India in 1993 and 1996 and did not help build bilateral SNS trust.
