The 54-year-old Kurukshetra MP who is , considered as Manohar Lal Khattar's confidant, was sworn in as the Haryana Chief Minister during a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh this evening.(Photo) Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office to Mr Saini. Four BJP leaders Kanwar Pal Gujjar, Jai Parkash Dalal, Moolchand Sharma, and Banwari Lal took oath as new ministers in the Haryana cabinet. Also, an Independent MLA, Ranjit Singh, was also sworn in as a minister by Governor Mr Dattatreya. Mr Khattar was also present at the ceremony. Earlier, Mr Saini met Haryana Governor Mr Dattatreya to formally stake claim to form the government in the state, replacing Mr Khattar.Mr Khattar resigned hours after the BJP alliance with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) broke. The State Bank of India on Tuesday evening submitted on political contributions made through electoral bonds to the Election Commission of India, in line with a stern order from the Supreme Court. Further, the data will be collated and released by the Election Commission by 5 p.m. Friday, as the court had ordered. A Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud on Monday dismissed the SBI's plea seeking extension of time till 30 June to disclose the details. The court also directed the poll panel to publish the information shared by the bank on its official website by 5 pm on 15 March. Reports, however, suggest that SBI’s Chairman and Managing Director has not yet filed the affidavit confirming compliance with the court order. The CMD is aticipated to submit the affidavit in the SC on Wednesday, providing an official acknowledgement of the bank’s adherence to the court’s order.
